This track was made using singing bowls from the temple i go to sometimes, as well as the merciful cymbals, but the most amazing part of this piece is the parade in Ubud in that I ran into during my travels..I had arrived right after the King of Ubud had passed, a very auspicious time i was told often. There were a few days of mourning his death which is what was happening when I recorded this parade. It was honestly one of the most surreal moments of my life..A few days later the community celebrated his death in more of a joyful way. It was incredible to witness such elaborate rituals. I am in love with gamelan and the Balinese culture. Some of the kindest genuine people I have ever met.
